Liver Rescue Tea (70g)

This tea contains a blend of herbs that work synergistically to gently and safely remove toxins that are stored in your liver, while strengthening and supporting overall liver function.

Our liver is responsible for filtering everything that enters the body to protect us from harm. Chemical toxins such as pesticides, petrol fumes, metals, dyes, solvents, fungicides, food additives, pharmaceuticals and plastics, as well as neurotoxins and waste products produced by bacteria and viruses, all have to be processed and stored by the liver. Over time, the liver struggles to cope with this load and some cleansing or digestive functions receive less energy. This is when things start to go wrong. Since almost all symptoms or conditions originate in an overloaded liver, improving liver health is a fundamental part of healing chronic symptoms and conditions.

This tea will benefit you if you have symptoms such as eczema, psoriasis, diabetes, strep throat, acne, gout, bloating, gallstones, adrenal stress, fatigue, fatty liver, weight gain, SIBO and autoimmune problems, mood swings, irritability, insomnia or sleep interruptions, gall bladder problems, high blood pressure, premature aging, and/or if you simply want to keep your liver healthy to prevent these problems later.

This herbal tea contains the following plants:

Red Clover Flowers: Helps to soothe the nervous system, and helps the body recover from adrenal exhaustion and fatigue. Red clover is a fantastic blood and lymphatic system purifier. It eliminates toxins in the liver, flushes fat from the body and removes micro-particles of metal, which helps to promote weight loss. Red clover reduces swelling, and can also reduce cysts and calcification. It balances hormones, improves fertility, relieves bronchial problems, helps heal infections, is a tonic for the digestive tract and helps remineralize teeth and bones.

Burdock Root: Burdock root has been used for centuries as a detoxifier and liver tonic. It acts as a powerful blood purifier, able to neutralise and safely eliminate toxins from the body. This herb has anti-tumour, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It is also a natural painkiller. It is commonly used in anti-cancer remedies as it is known to prevent cancer cells from metastasising. Anthony also claims that burdock is beneficial for coughs and colds, flu, bronchial congestion, ulcers, gallstones, anaemia, kidney stones, chickenpox, gout, measles, strep throat, urinary tract infections, bladder infections, hepatitis and prostate enlargement. It is commonly used in cosmetics as its antioxidants and phytosterols provide benefits to the skin and hair. Burdock is an important herb for the treatment of chronic skin problems such as acne, psoriasis, eczema and shingles. It can also help boost metabolism, regrow hair, strengthen nails, and promote oedema and weight loss. It also promotes emotional cleansing.7

Dandelion Leaf: A traditional liver tonic, dandelion leaf is used to help the liver release toxins. Traditionally, it is used worldwide to treat fevers, boils, eye problems, diabetes, kidney disease, swelling, skin problems, heartburn and stomach disorders. In Germany it is prescribed for oedema. Studies suggest that it may have applications in the treatment of cancer, weight loss and maintaining normal blood sugar levels.

Nettle leaf: stimulates the liver and is able to neutralise toxins in the body and also helps to eliminate viral and bacterial infections. It is particularly effective against toxins released by the Epstein Barr virus (EBV). Nettle is an anti-inflammatory and immune stimulant. It helps to calm the nerves and can help with fatigue, chronic headaches and repairing nerves damaged by the shingles virus. Nettle is used for respiratory symptoms such as chronic cough, chest congestion, sinus infections and tuberculosis. Nettle acts on the urinary system and is widely used to prevent urinary tract infections, bladder and kidney stones and to reduce the frequency of night-time urination. It relieves digestive problems such as nausea, flatulence, acid reflux and colitis. It supports the endocrine system, including the spleen, thyroid and pancreas. Nettle is rich in minerals and vitamins such as chromium, zinc, copper, magnesium, silicon, cobalt and vitamins A, E, D, C and K.
